Genevieve Kayembe N., Operation Manager
Genevieve Kayembe N. has joined NZA Community health Services in her capacity of Operation Manager since 2019, working in the background to get the entity up and running. She brings a wealth of organisational skills and project management. A nurturing leader, she has successfully lead and delivered a number of grass-root community initiatives.
Genevieve has been working in the public health sector for more than 20 years moving between different roles and countries. She is a trained and qualified medical doctor from the Dem Rep of Congo. Genevieve obtained her Postgrad Diploma in Public health from The University of Auckland in 2014 and has been working since then in a number of populations’ health improvement roles.
Genevieve is a visionary leader whose passion is to see vulnerable and minority communities such as African communities thrive and lead flourishing life.

Dr. Francois Kayembe, Chief Operating Officer
Born and bred in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Francois moved in New Zealand since 2002.
Francois Kayembe joined the NZA Community Health Services since 2019 as the Chief Operating Officer. With a background as a trained Medical Doctor in the Dem. Rep. of Congo, Francois hold a Master’s Degree in Public Health earned at the University of Auckland in 2014. Francois has more than 10 years’ experience in leadership roles. He has been leading and building high performing teams mostly in Public and Population Health sector. He has been leading the review, strategic planning, and priorities for NZA Community Health services.
Francois has previously work for the Auckland Regional Public Health Services (ARPHS), Whanau Awhina Plunket, and other charitable organisation in different roles including Board Chair.
Francois is proud of his humble upbringing and his life experiences and memories have influenced his view of life and how to connect with people. He has received a couple of awards such as the Kiwi Bank New Zealand of the year’s Certificate of Achievement for his outstanding commitment for the betterment of the African communities. Francois is dedicated to doing all he can to create positive service delivery and access for African and ethnic tamariki and their whānau.

Daoj Yor, Community Engagement Coordinator
Daoj is a third-year university student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Health Management. With a strong foundation in leadership roles developed throughout her schooling years, Daoj is passionate about creating meaningful change within health organisations. Her primary focus is on improving healthcare access and outcomes for underrepresented communities, particularly for African and other ethnic or minority groups. Daoj is dedicated to advocating for healthcare approaches that respect and reflect the diverse values, needs, and experiences of all communities, aiming to work directly with patients and their families/whānau in planning, decision-making, and management roles. Driven by a commitment to health equity, Daoj aspires to bridge the gap in healthcare services and ensure that the voices of migrant and minority communities are not only heard but also valued in the healthcare system. Her vision is to contribute to the improvement of healthcare quality and accessibility for marginalised populations, empowering communities to thrive

Daina Fougang, Community Engagement Lead
Daina Fougang is a PhD scholar currently pursuing studies in public health. She is deeply committed to addressing health disparities among ethnic communities, with a particular focus on advocating for culturally sensitive healthcare services to ensure equitable access and improved maternal health outcomes for Africans living in New Zealand. With a solid foundation in reproductive health and a Master of Science degree in Women's Health, complemented by years of hands-on experience as a registered midwife in African countries, Daina brings a unique perspective and a drive to make a meaningful impact on women's health and maternal health outcomes for Africans. Her research interests span health disparities, reproductive and sexual health, community health, and cultural safety. Daina has contributed to the field through several scholarly articles, and promoting health equity for Africans is her primary motivation.
